SEO, a Waste of Money?

I read about SEO. Actually, I read about SEO A LOT! Here is something I've found to be really frustrating. You have two schools of thought: 1. SEO is grand and all things SEO are wonderful. 2. SEO is awful, useless and a complete waste of money. My thoughts are that both can be true. If you have a website that is set up to receive and convert traffic, which automatically assumes you have a product that will sell, then SEO is wonderful. If you have a site that is NOT set up to convert traffic or if your product is undesirable, then SEO is useless and a waste of money.

The major difference is whether you have an SEO Expert who cares about your bottom line. Here at SEO San Diego we turn down a lot more clients than we take on, simply because we know that a lot of projects were never meant to be launched. Many SEO companies will NEVER turn you down, simply because they are paid via commission. Signing you to a marketing package of any kind is really their only concern. Your success means nothing to them.

When searching for an SEO Firm, be sure to see if the firm has a website that is findable via the major search engines. If not, it's likely they are not reputable.
